18 Dec 2009, Englnad v South Africa first test cricket match of the Basil D’Oliveira Trophy played at SuperSport Park, Centurion from 16 Dec to 20 Dec 2009.

English captain Andrew Strauss invite South Africa to bat first. The opening stats was not good for Africans but responsible batting by Jacques Kallis, South Africa managed four hundred plus runs in their first innings. Graeme Swann bowler of england took five wickets of the South African five valuable batsman.

In reply, England now batting in their first innings on day three. They are now half of South Africa and Paul Collingwood with Stuart Board fighting against South Africa.
This is the first test cricket match between England and South Africa of the four match test cricket. Is the test debutant for South African fast bowler Firedel de Wet.
