Triangular cricket series at Sri Lanka has started today by the first one day international cricket match at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium between India and New Zealand. Ross Taylor, as New Zealand’s new captain standing in for Daniel Vettori won the toss and decided to bat first. Indian bowler P Kumar and A Nehra made an early breakthrough by taking three wickets in only twenty eight runs.
Skipper Taylor with SB Styris made a partnership and New Zealand seems to overcome the problem.
Ross Taylor got half century and still in the crease. Rest of the squad are PJ Ingram, MJ Guptill, KS Williamson, GD Elliott, GJ Hopkins, JDP Oram, KD Mills, DR Tuffey and AJ McKay.
