26 Nov 2009, The Frank Worrell Trophy started with first match between Australia and West Indies at Brisbane Cricket Ground. In the three match test cricket series, this is the first match. Winning the toss, Australian captain Ricky Ponting decided to bat first.
Opener Simon Katich brought a good starts with ponting after gone of Watson’s wicket. Katich missed his test cricket century only for eight runs but the partnership was one hundred twenty six between Simon Katich and Ricky Ponting.

The first day of this cricket match could be good for Australia if they would not miss five wickets, though they have managed three hundred plus runs. Marcus North and Brad Haddin will restart second day’s play. Dwayne Bravo got two wickets for sixty six.
