Five day test cricket match between Australia and Pakistan played at Melbourne Cricket Ground from 26 Dec to 30 Dec 2009. This is the first test cricket match of three match test cricket series between Australia and Pakistan.
Winning the toss, Ricky Ponting captain of Australia decided to bat first and opener Shane Watson & Simon Katich’s important partnership, Australia declared first innings in four hundred fifty four.
Pakistan could not made a good start of their first innings. Mitchell Johnson took first attack in Pakistan innings and took Imran Farhat with only nine.
